Give65, the signature program of Home Instead Charities, is the main way Home Instead Charities distributes funding to charitable organizations serving aging adults. With one in seven older adults living in poverty, charitable organizations are critical in helping meet the basic needs of our aging population. Basic needs like meals, transportation, housing, activities and so much more. Give65 is an online giving platform exclusively for charitable organizations serving older adults, many who are vulnerable and rely on these organizations to maintain their quality of life. Give65 provides matching grants and financial incentives to inspire greater charitable giving in support of the older population.
Here are the upcoming Give65 fundraising events:
- Give65 Event: July 13 – 16
- #GivingTuesday celebration: November 30
Through the Give65 Event, a 65-hour online giving event held in July, nonprofits can rally their communities to raise funds, recruit volunteers and increase awareness for their programs and services that are giving aging adults hope! Whether you’re a nonprofit looking to raise additional funding or a potential donor who wants to give back to older adults, we encourage you to visit Give65.org to learn more about Home Instead Charities’ signature program.
Disaster Relief Fund
When a natural disaster is presidentially declared, Home Instead Charities comes to the rescue with the help of the Disaster Relief Fund. This Fund – predominantly funded by the Home Instead network – provides immediate relief grants to CAREGivers and key players impacted by the disaster. These grants provide essentials such as food, water, clothing and shelter during these difficult times.
Memorial and honor gifts
Making a gift in honor or in memory of a loved one is a touching tribute to their life and legacy. All gifts are recognized with a receipt letter to the donor, as well as an acknowledgment letter that is thoughtfully created to the honoree or family of the remembered. Gift amounts are confidential and will not be shared in the acknowledgment letter.
Honor your CAREGiver
This meaningful program provides an opportunity to honor a Home Instead CAREGiver who has made a positive, lasting impact. The CAREGiver receives a special letter informing them that a gift has been made in their honor. The Home Instead franchise office that employs the CAREGiver is also notified of the tribute gift so they can recognize the CAREGiver in a special way. Gift amounts are confidential.
Be a Santa to a Senior
Be a Santa to a Senior, a program of Home Instead, was established in 2003 with the intent to spread holiday cheer to isolated aging adults who might not otherwise receive a gift or a visit from a family member during the holidays. Since then, hundreds of thousands of aging adults have benefited from a wrapped gift or a friendly visit during a season that can feel lonely. Home Instead Charities is fortunate to have a unique role in this partnership with the ability to accept monetary gifts via cash or credit card in support of community-based Be a Santa to a Senior programs coordinated by Home Instead franchise offices across the country. There are many legacy gifts to consider. You may wish to remember Home Instead Charities in your will or choose any other planned giving option.
