About Home Instead Charities

Our History

Lori and Paul Hogan founded Home Instead® in 1994. Their experience caring for Paul’s grandmother was the inspiration that launched an international company of independently owned and operated franchises to provide in-home care for seniors. Paul and Lori established Home Instead Charities in 2003 as a way to help care for aging adults who were in need of social service programs that help them age with independence and dignity and enhance their quality of life, as well as help the family members who care for them. This mission is made possible, in part, thanks to Paul and Lori and the generous sponsors and donations from the general public.
